Our client is an established, privately-held, hardwood manufacturer and distributor. They are financially strong, profitable, and enjoy an excellent reputation. The company has positioned itself as a hybrid distributor - big enough to compete with larger specialty distributors, but small and flexible enough to welcome low volume / high margin business.
We have been retained to find an experienced hardwood professional who can take over from our client’s long-time, successful, General Manager who recently resigned to address some sudden and unexpected personal issues.
We are looking for someone with solid business and people skills along with Operations and/or Sales leadership experience in wholesale or retail companies. Knowledge of hardwood or softwood lumber, building products, or tools and related supplies would be a strong plus. Someone excited about the chance to lead a successful branch for an established, well-respected, company.
