Description
We have a retained search for a Manager over Yard, Kilns and Inventory Control for an established, successful, and growing manufacturer of specialty hardwood products. The company purchases a variety of species of green Domestic hardwoods, which they dry and then utilize in their own manufacturing operations where they are investing in state-of-the-art equipment. In 2021, they also installed an additional 120,000 BF of new SII dry kilns. Currently they are running on a one-shift basis, but demand and sales growth will likely move that to two-shifts at some point.
We are looking for an experienced hardwood professional with a successful track record in leading an effective yard and kiln drying operation. Someone with a strong, team-oriented, leadership approach and good knowledge of hardwood grades and kilns to be able to assess current buying practices, suppliers and drying operations.
