Our client is an established Forest Products company with a significant land and timber base and multiple, highly productive, manufacturing operations. This is an exciting time for the company with leadership committed to intelligent but aggressive growth.
We are working with their newest mill, which began operations about a year ago. This is a Southern Yellow Pine mill that complements the Company’s flagship lumber facility, one of the largest single-site producers of Southern Pine lumber in the U.S.
The mill is a state-of-the-art, high-speed and efficient mill, with the capability to adapt its output to best suit market conditions and requirements while maximizing productivity, while taking advantage of the proximity of the Company’s timberland, a strong workforce and existing customer base. It produces approximately 250 million board feet annually and employs more than 100.
They have retained us to find an experienced Plant Manager take over from the Manager who has guided construction and lead a very good start-up of this showpiece mill. We are looking for a process and metric’s driven, team-builder with demonstrated success leading successful lumber operations. Someone excited about a chance to take over and lead a major new project for a growth-focused, privately-held, forest products company.
